Obtain Altimeter Setting on GUC AWOS 135.075 MHz.
VFR holding may be necessary at Jacks Cabin due to traffic at the Crested
Butte airport. If necessary, hold clockwise at Jacks Cabin, stay EAST of
the highway (CO Hwy 135), maintain 10,000 Ft. MSL and 90 KIAS in the hold.
Inbound from the South,
maintain 9,800 Ft. MSL and 90 KIAS within 5 NM of the airport. Report
position on Unicom. Proceed single file, stay on the RH side (east) of
the CO Hwy 135 (to Crested Butte).
Inbound from the North,
(Kebler Pass, Schofield Pass, Maroon Pass) stay North and West of the
town of Crested Butte. Then southbound on the RH side (west) of the
highway (Hwy 135) at 9,800 Ft. MSL. Report position on Unicom, join
traffic pattern.
Outbound,
maintain 9,600 Ft. MSL southbound to Almont. Stay on the RH side (west)
of the highway (Hwy 135). Leave all lights ON. |

Arrival RWY 29 and Departure RWY 11. Final leg for RWY 29 is approximately
at a 30 degree angle to the runway and slightly east of the river, on the
sloping terrain. Right traffic RWY 11.
Noise abatement procedures are in effect at all times: Avoid all populated and
residential areas, in particular the Golf Course, the town of Crested
Butte, the town of Crested Butte South, the town of Mt. Crested Butte, etc. |

passing Harmels, Right on Jacks Cabin cutoff, then north on (see e.

- CO Hwy 133 - McClure Pass then immediately after Paonia Reservoir
sharp left on CR12 - Kebler Pass - Crested Butte then continue on (see e.

Hwy 135, approximately 2 miles south of Crested Butte, follow the airport
sign(s) and turn at the Country Club flagpoles onto County Road 738. Stay on
CR738 (also known as Brush Creek Rd.) , about half mile after pavement ends make
first RH turn to airport.
